Take some time and visit the Discovery Garden at River Forks Park...a treat for the senses.
This ride is truly a do-it-yourself century, a favorite of the Umpqua Velo Club, with lots of options to visit vineyards and wineries along the way and to enjoy hilly vistas along some wonderful, scenic roads. The 110-mile route circles north of Roseburg, through Sutherlin, Oakland, Yoncalla, Drain, Elkton, and Tyee, Oregon. All of these places offer food, drink, and lodging.
The Oregon countryside around those communities is a beautiful mix of farms, ranches, and forests, so you will not always be near services. Be sure to carry what you need for your ride. Many of the roads will have narrow shoulders but also usually have low traffic volumes.
